Description

Flint Group is the world's largest supplier of inks, consumables and equipment for the printing industry. It produces a wide range of inks for offset printing. With the use of own solutions and advanced chemical technologies Flint Group inks are the standard of quality for the printing industry.

More than 130 representative offices and production departments operate in 40 countries of the world. The total number of employees exceeds 6 500. Sales amount to more than 2 billion EURO per year. The company headquarters is located in Luxembourg.

In 2018, PSO-13 commenced construction of a new Flint Group printing inks plant in the Kaluga region. The facility will produce state-of-the-art aqueous and spirit inks for printing paper, cardboard and flexible packaging. The new factory will strengthen Flint Group's position on the strategically important Russian packaging market. 

The plant will employ over 70 people. Production capacity is expected to be up to 8 000 tons of printing inks per year.

The 2.5 hectares of land comprise:

  • 1-storey industrial warehouse complex of 5 882 m².
  • Adjacent Administration building with an area of 853 m².
  • Guard house
  • Boiler house
  • Transformer substation
  • Garage, canopy for pallets and building for storing raw materials
  • Storm water treatment facility with control tanks
  • Fire-fighting pumping station with underground water tanks
  • The total area of the buildings will be more than 10 000 m².

Due to complicated soils, bearing and frame columns are located on composite pile foundations up to 16 m deep. 

Engineering infrastructure

The plant will be connected to the utility networks of the Freight Village Kaluga North industrial park. A well-developed engineering infrastructure is being built to ensure uninterrupted operation at the plant territory:

  • Domestic and stormwater sewerage
  • Domestic water supply, fire-fighting and irrigation water pipelines
  • 10 kW and 0.4 kW cable lines
  • Gas and heating pipelines
  • Communication lines

Fire safety will be provided by automatic fire extinguishing, smoke removal and fire alarm systems.
